According to the Times,Voynov's actual time served is expected to be 45 days or le s depending ongood behavior and other reductions. He was also orderedto attend a 52-week domestic violence course and complete eight hours of community service. Voynov is paying $100 a day to stay at theSeal Beach Police Detention Center,a 30-bedfacilityin the coastal city just outside Los Angeles. He was allowed to bring several personal items,including a watch, five photographs and up to $100 in cash for purchases from the commi sary, the Times reported. Voynovhas been suspended indefinitely by the NHL with paysince his October arrest. A probation report obtained by the Times details the alleged incident, which beganduring a team Halloween party. "The defendant punched her once on the left side of her jaw," the report said. "Eventually, they stopped arguing and went back inside the venue. She tried to get a sistance from other party goers; however she does not speak fluent English." The dispute continued at the couple's Redondo Beach home, where , according to the report. "According to the victim, she is scared of the defendant and he is very aggre sive when he drinks," the report said. "She admitted this was not the first time the defendant has struck her." Voynov's wife, Marta Varlamova, to close a cut over her eye, according to the report.
